In another surprise move, Classic Airframes announces the forthcoming
release of early Messerschmitt Bf 109 family.
A prototype of the kit is complete and photos are shown here. This
model will be on display in Atlanta.
Jules Bringuier, owner of Classic Airframes, felt that the subject
matter had not been properly covered in a previous 1/48 scale kits. The
Classic Airframes kit has been well researched with the cooperation of
several respected experts on the subject matter and will offer the early
V prototypes (some of which also saw service in Spain) as well as the
early production B models. It is interesting to note that these aircraft
had much longer leading edge slats than later models.
Classic Airframes' kit will offer the early Schwarz fixed-pitch wooden
airscrew, as well as the later Hamilton metal airscrew. A further boxing
will cover the late production B models as well as the C and D models.
And finally, another bombshell. Classic Airframes announces the imminent
release of the Avro Anson Mk. I and derivatives.
More details are not available at this time but will be forthcoming
closer to release. Judging by the recent prolific performance from
Classic Airframes though, we will not be waiting for long!
Jules also confirmed the he will have a very limited number of the two
seat version of the Vampire Trainer specially delivered for the Atlanta
Show.
Expect more news from Atlanta over the next week!
