Pavla's 1/72
Lysander Mk.II is available online from Squadron.com
Not since the old Airfix Lysander have we had a decent 1/72 scale
replica of this aircraft. Talk about long awaited - it must be thirty or
forty years since that kit was released.
Well, the waiting is over with the release of Pavla's new multimedia
Westland Lysander Mk.II in 1/72 scale.
Even as a short run kit, this model is superb. You simply could not
ask for more detail in a kit like this. The kit is crammed full of it.
Every thing that opens and shuts can be depicted opened or shut!

The resin parts are to the usual high standard we have come to expect
from Pavla and similarly the vacuum-formed canopies are very nice.
The thought strikes, how will the wings be attached to the canopy?
Well, there are two frames inside the canopy and the wings attach to
them. This should make them quite strong.
The decals look very nice with two British and one Free French plus
stencils.
As with any kit of this type, it’s not really for the novice, but if
you are looking for something a bit more challenging, this may be the
one. Keep up the good work Pavla.
Highly Recommended.
