Ray Thomas from Vintage Fighter Series has supplied some information about their forthcoming 1/24 scale P-47 Thunderbolt family, plus photos of the kit prototype:

"Vintage Fighter Series has a new family of 1/24 scale P-47 Thunderbolts in the pipeline.

This kit is due for release in April/May 2007, but there will be a limited number of 'Final Production Samples' to pre-order in November including a FREE 'Profile' information sheet on 56th FG pilot = Russ Kyler (who incidentally shot down an ME-262). The kit also includes FREE p&p all this and more for just £64.99.

The first two kits are D-25's, with a D-30 shortly after. An 'M' and 'N' variant will follow these.
